National Association
for the Education
of Young Children

Promoting high-quality learning by connecting practice, policy, and research

This research was so interesting, I just renewed my membership with NAEYC. Yeah!!!!!!! Join today my colleagues.

I have not actually researched the entire website of NAEYC so I just completed my four hours of research on this website.         https://www.naeyc.org/

I can recall when I was growing up as a child and in high school, I read different magazines, publications, websites.  However, I never observed inside of the books different pictures of what you see posted below.  A diversity of all children in the world because that is what our world is made of today and then.  However, individuals are now displaying diversity on their websites.  I just enjoyed everything about NAEYC so I want to share with you in Week 6 all the information I learned on NAEYC. They have covered all areas in learning about the young child.

  1. Hi Katrina,
I am also a member of NAEYC and I have worked in a couple of NAEYC accredited Early Childhood Programs as well. Developmentally Appropriate Practices are a major part of NAEYC's standards. I really enjoy the training and resources that NAEYC provides to professionals. The Early Head Start I currently work for is preparing to become NAEYC accredited. I believe that this is a big deal and will show the high quality and care that we provide to young children and families. Great post!

I am also a NAEYC member and I love how they advocate for young children. I wish that they would go global. I think that would be cool.
