As I reflect upon a child's birth in the making, I would like to reflect upon my daughter's child birth.
She was born 38 years ago in the afternoon and I had a small complication in delivering her because my female complications.  However, I was raised in the church. I had praying warriors speaking on my behalf.  Suddenly, my female organs began to work and I had her natural birth.  It was nothing but a miracle and a blessing. I am so thankful for my wonderful daughter.

I chose this experience because it is very dear to my heart. I believe that any woman who can carry a child for 9 months and deliver that precious child is very blessed.

Selected a country other than the US and tell about birth?  I selected Africa.

According to the article, he birth of a baby, which should be a joyful occasion, too often brings heartbreak and agony for African families.  It stated that pregnancy and childbirth complications are the leading cause of death and injury for women in developing countries (May, 2020).
In Africa the article states that, a staggering one in 22 women dies in pregnancy or childbirth and while conditions such as high blood pressure, breech births and haemorrhaging are easily treated in the UK.
I had an OBGYN for 24 years and he practiced in Africa then moved to the United Stated. He was absolutely amazing.  As I recall, he shared that African women are likely to die from them because they lack access to good quality health care or a trained midwife. According to the article, only 37% of births in the least developed countries are attended by a skilled health worker (Retrieved March 2020).

  1. Having a child is such a blessing but can also be very scary! I am so glad that you were able to deliver your daughter with no complications. It sounds like you have some very powerful prayer warriors on your side!

That is so sad that in other countries, something that should be such a joyous moment can be a moment of devastation. This brings a whole new meaning to scary. It is sad to think that the leading death of women in other countries can be something meant to bring more life into the world! My heart goes out to these women and the families involved. Hopefully, these countries can start to experience the medical advancements that we have had the pleasure of experiencing in the United States. I do not know that without them if me or my two children which I had to deliver via C-Section would be here.
