FAMILY CULTURE 

                           (Is Everything)                      

·         A description of the three items you would choose:

My items I would take: 

*my family portraits     *my personal bracelet       *my personal birthday cards

      How you would explain to others what each of these items means to you

I value my family, therefore, I would take my memories to keep me connected to them.

I value my birthday bracelet and this is very dear to me which allows me to hold on because everything will be all right.

I value my cards because the words speak a wealth of volume.

·         

     Your feelings if, upon arrival, you were told that you could only keep one personal item and have to give up the other two items you brought with you

I would keep the family portraits.

    Hello Katrina,
    I would also take photographs of my family so that I can always look at different memories of us. I really enjoy the pictures you have posted of your family and also the picture of the Obama's. Birthday cards are special to me as well and mean a lot to me.

Week 5 Harvard University’s “Global Children’s Initiative”

 My objective for this week is to share things I learned from the Global Children's Initiative:  #1 It was interesting to know how they are working around the world to make a difference:  Together with partner organizations on the ground, the Center promotes innovation in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico, as well as across a broader international platform. As I reflect upon a child's birth in the making, I would like to reflect upon my daughter's child birth. She was born 38 years ago in the afternoon and I had a small complication in delivering her because my female complications.  However, I was raised in the church. I had praying warriors speaking on my behalf.  Suddenly, my female organs began to work and I had her natural birth.  It was nothing but a miracle and a blessing. I am so thankful for my wonderful daughter. I chose this experience because it is very dear to my heart. I believe that any woman who can carry a child for 9 months and deliver that precious child is very blessed. Selected a country other than the US and tell about birth?  I selected Africa.
