The objective of this lesson is:   Post at least three consequences of learning about the international early childhood field for your professional and personal development.   http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/   https://www.reanz.org/   https://www.usp.ac.fj/ Early Childhood Australia -A Voice for Young Children http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/ ECA members and advocacy Early Childhood Australia members support ongoing advocacy for the best interests of young children with the vision: ‘every young child is thriving and learning’. At the national level, our members have enabled ECA to engage in advocacy to governments and parliaments at both Federal and State/Territory level. ECE Professionals:  "How to Increase your                                         Knowledge?"    First of all, an individual must have the desire and want to learn more to be able to grow in ECE.  President Obama’s  early learning initiative  proposal includes strategies to increase access to high-quality preschool and expand the Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership program serving infants and toddlers as indicated by the authors (Forry, Tout, Halle, & Dally, 2013).   As we observe the country  historic expansion of early care and education opportunities for young children, Child Trends offers a list of five ways to improve their quality: www.childtrends.org 1. Focus first on children's safety, health, and happiness. 2. Support the early care and education workforce. 3. Use observations and assessments to support every child's needs across all developmental domains.  4. Create a culture of continuous quality improvement.  5. Build partnership to support quali

National Association for the Education of Young Children Promoting high-quality learning by connecting practice, policy, and research This research was so interesting, I just renewed my membership with NAEYC. Yeah!!!!!!! Join today my colleagues.  I have not actually researched the entire website of NAEYC so I just completed my four hours of research on this website.         https://www.naeyc.org/ I can recall when I was growing up as a child and in high school, I read different magazines, publications, websites.  However, I never observed inside of the books different pictures of what you see posted below.  A diversity of all children in the world because that is what our world is made of today and then.  However, individuals are now displaying diversity on their websites.  I just enjoyed everything about NAEYC so I want to share with you in Week 6 all the information I learned on NAEYC. They have covered all areas in learning about the young child.

My objective for this week is to share things I learned from the Global Children's Initiative:  #1 It was interesting to know how they are working around the world to make a difference:  Together with partner organizations on the ground, the Center promotes innovation in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico, as well as across a broader international platform. Brazil Canada Mexico Across countries ( Saving Brains ) #2. Please review this link:  It is amazing!!!! https://www.albertafamilywellness.org/resources/watch/how-brains-are-built-core-story-of-brain-development I just really enjoyed this short video on the brain. Here is a summary of what was discussed.  It was referred to as "Brain Builders".  Get an introduction of the brain story.  Brain---Built Brain-Positive Interaction in early years  (Serve & Return) This was related to a tennis match.  Toxic Stress can affect the brain and this is bad for brain development. Example:  abuse, neglect, or parental addiction.  Emotio

THE ECONOMICS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD INVESTMENTS My Objective of this week is to: U nderstanding how economists, neuroscientists, or politicians support positive social change through the early childhood field? Introduction of Childhood Investments: The last several decades have brought tremendous strides in our understanding of early childhood development. Researchers have established that early childhood, beginning in infancy, is a period in which profound advances take place in individuals’ reasoning, language acquisition, and problem solving, and more importantly, that a child’s environment can dramatically influence the degree and pace of these advances. By supporting development when children are very young, early childhood education programs can complement parental investments and produce large benefits to children, parents, and society (obamawhitehouse.archives.gov).  Just as a regular citizen, I believe that politicians should be more passionate about ECE because they are the fut
